We joined a tour to Beaujolais this Saturday afternoon.
The trip is organized by a tour agency who took us to
Beaujolais by bus and visited several caves and of course
the most important, wine tasting!!

There's actually another Japanese friend with us, but
he was having car sick so he stayed at the bus.
This pic was us tasting red and white wine after visiting a
wine museum at the other side of the restaurant.
I liked the white wine we tasted a lot, they also gave us a
morceau of bread with cheese on it to go with the wine,
and it matched quite well. So I bought a bottle of
Macon-Village afterwards, only costs me 5 euros.
The first cave we visited called Morgon.
You can actually see the bar counter and how little amount
of wine they poured in the glasses. (But we can get as many
glasses as we want, so I'd call it even lol)
But honestly I don't like their wine, even though our guide
highly recommended it for some reason I don't understand.

We were standing in a little vineyard with a few small strings
of grapes. We tried them but it didn't taste good. I don't
think they actually used it to make wine, and somehow
I wonder if the vineyard is any good in Beaujolais compared
to other wine countries cause later I found out that the
French don't think very highly of Beaujolais wine, even
though it's really popular in Asia and the U.S. (Perhaps it
even represents what we think the French wine is)
I'm learing more and more about wine in France every day.
And I realized that it's something you can spend your lifetime
researching while remaining still a lot to learn.
